What happens after the 10-day free trial?
You get full Business-plan access for 10 days on any account, no credit card required. When the trial ends, pick a plan to continue — your data and configuration are preserved either way.
Can I upgrade or downgrade later?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades apply at the start of your next billing cycle, so you keep what you're paying for through the period you've already paid.
What happens if I exceed 3 budgets on the Base plan?
You'll be prompted to upgrade to Growth for unlimited budgets. Existing budgets and their enforcement keep working — you just can't create a 4th until you upgrade.
Does routing calls through Cognocient add latency?
The proxy adds attribution, budget, and velocity checks before forwarding your call to the provider — typically single-digit milliseconds of overhead, well below normal LLM response variance.
How are my AI provider API keys secured?
Provider keys are encrypted at rest and never appear in logs, API responses, or your application code — your app only ever holds a Cognocient proxy key, which can be revoked independently at any time.
Is there a setup fee or long-term contract?
No setup fee and no annual lock-in — all plans are billed monthly. Integration is a base_url change in your existing OpenAI/Anthropic SDK client, not a migration project.
