How do I invite teammates into my Cognocient account?

Invite teammates into your existing Cognocient account — one shared account, seat limits by plan, and how access works.

Invite teammates into your existing Cognocient account from Settings → Team. They sign up (or log in) with their own email, but land inside your account — same real-time attribution, same budgets, same connected providers, same everything. There's no separate "their data" vs. "your data" — it's one shared account, more logins.

Not a separate account, not a new tenant

An invited teammate's login is mapped onto your account rather than creating a new one. This means: no data migration if someone leaves and comes back, no duplicate provider connections to manage, and a revoked teammate loses access instantly on their next request — nothing to clean up.

A pending invite (sent but not yet accepted) still counts against your seat limit — so you can't over-invite past your cap while several invites sit unopened.

Inviting someone

  1. Go to Settings → Team.
  2. Enter their email and click Send invite.
  3. They receive an email with a one-time link. Opening it walks them through signup and drops them straight into your dashboard — no separate onboarding wizard, since they're joining an account that's already set up. (If that email already has its own existing Cognocient account, the invite fails with a clear error instead — see the FAQ.)

Roles (v1: two, kept minimal)

  • Owner — the account's original creator. Full access, including billing and plan changes.
  • Member — everything else. Same dashboard, same ability to configure budgets/providers/guardrails/routing as the owner, minus billing.

There's no granular per-feature permission system yet — that's a deliberate v1 scope decision, not an oversight. If your team needs view-only members or role-restricted access, that's a real gap today.

Removing a teammate

From Settings → Team, click the remove icon next to their name. Access is revoked immediately — there's no grace period and no way for a removed member to keep working with cached credentials, since every request re-resolves their access on the backend.
